However, it is open to other offices with space availability.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related discipline and seven (7) or more years' experience in banking, credit analysis, financial/accounting services, or audit.Previous experience as a credit analyst or loan officer preferred.JOB SUMMARYResponsible for overall management of the Internal Credit Review (ICR) department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSelects, trains, develops, motivates, evaluates, and manages internal credit review staff. Directs, counsels, and instructs staff assigned to the credit reviews and assesses their work for sufficiency of scope and accuracy.Assists with developing and implementing an annual risk assessment and credit review plan.Continued risk assessment of overall Association activities resulting in effective management of internal credit review resources.Develops and maintains standards for scope of review selection and standards for work papers and supporting documentation.Assists with organizing and coordinating all activities of individual credit reviews including scheduling review dates with the appropriate department heads.Conducts assigned reviews consistent with procedures, standards, and regulations.Prepares well organized and readily understandable work papers for each review that accurately document work performed, satisfy review objectives, meet quality standards, and support conclusions.Prepares meeting documents and reports for internal reviews to ensure identified risks are communicated to appropriate individuals.Articulates conclusions regarding risks and pertinent recommendations to counteract potential loss, improve processes and avoid adverse regulatory findings.Initiates various specialized projects and/or targeted reviews when required.Reports credit review findings to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Discussions include the overall conclusion of the credit review, and recommendations, including management's response to those recommendations.Follows up on management responses as a result of credit reviews to substantiate/evaluate the implementation of recommended changes.Coordinates with external auditors, the bank, and Association staff, as appropriate, to avoid unnecessary redundancy of audit activities.Maintains a positive and professional image in all communications with Association staff, outside auditors, the Farm Credit Administration, and other Farm Credit entities.Assists other departments, as needed, to complete special projects such as due diligence reviews, consulting to improve controls, etc.Performs other department related tasks as assigned.Fosters a team environment and is a resource to department staff.REQUIRED SKILLSSpecialized knowledge of accounting and financial systems.Specialized knowledge of accounting/financial principles.Specialized knowledge of industry standards, internal controls, and internal audit practices.Knowledge of credit products, market trends, and/or loan procedures.Attention to detail.Analytical and critical thinking skills.Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to perform intermHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)Parental leave
