Head of Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Execute the purchasing strategy for productive and non-productive materials.
• Ensure effective communication between the Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Production departments to achieve the best balance of cost, quality, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate quotations, coordinate bidding processes, and analyze supplier performance to continuously improve the purchasing process.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
• Prepare analytical reports and data insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Train, supervise, and manage the activities of assigned staff.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with the Planning department to maintain an efficient purchasing process based on procedures established in SAP .
• Propose and participate in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
• Review purchase orders and payment processes, assisting in the resolution of discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in Supply Chain Management and Supplier Negotiation
• Experience in raw materials and Direct procurement
• Basic knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Shipping & Logistics
• Advanced knowledge of SAP
• Advanced English
• Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
