Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives to drive revenue and market expansion
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and mitigate risks
• Formulate annual business plans, sales forecasts, and revenue targets to guide strategic decision-making
• Advise senior management on market expansion opportunities and strategic investments based on data-driven insights
• Acquire new corporate clients and expand existing accounts through targeted business development initiatives
• Identify and develop new business channels, strategic partnerships, and commercial opportunities to enhance market presence
• Negotiate high-value contracts, commercial agreements, and service partnerships to secure profitable deals
• Establish pricing strategies and service offerings to improve profitability and competitiveness in the market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and strategic clients to ensure long-term retention
• Conduct regular business reviews with major clients to identify opportunities for service enhancement and account growth
• Resolve complex commercial issues by negotiating mutually beneficial solutions that maintain client satisfaction
• Lead, supervise, and mentor business development executives, sales personnel, and account management staff to improve team performance
• Set performance objectives, monitor productivity, and conduct evaluations to foster a high-performance culture focused on growth and client service excellence
• Review and approve business proposals, tenders, quotations, and contractual agreements ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
• Assess financial viability and profitability of business opportunities before approval to minimize risk
• Manage contract renewals and strategic account negotiations to sustain business continuity
• Collaborate with recruitment, operations, finance, and HR departments to ensure service delivery aligns with client requirements and contractual commitments
• Coordinate manpower planning and resource allocation to support business expansion initiatives
• Ensure business activities comply with Singapore laws, MOM regulations, employment standards, and company policies
• Monitor contractual obligations and business risks, maintaining proper documentation and reporting for management review
• Represent the company in commercial negotiations and business meetings within authorized limits
• Recommend and approve business development initiatives and pricing structures within approved budgets
• Required competencies and certifications
• Proven track record in generating revenue growth and securing major corporate accounts
• Experience managing teams and overseeing commercial operations
• Strong understanding of business strategy, contract negotiation, and client relationship management
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Human Resources, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales management, account management, or corporate partnerships
• Experience in the recruitment, staffing, employment agency, or manpower industry
