About the role
Reporting to the SEA Ocean Division Manager, you will be working directly towards customers or through Sales Company to generate demand for Alfa Laval solutions in established businesses. The role combines strategic partnership development with technical sustainability expertise. Ship Owner Sales Lead the generation and development of business plan and convert the actionable business cases into sales for Newbuilding projects in assigned market. Analyze and understand new building market insights and the ship owners buying behavior and make sales plans according to Ocean division strategy and targets. Facilitate the newbuild project discussions. Create an impact on the market by being actively engaged with ship owners by value selling. Focus on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products including negotiating the owner support package. Increase awareness and brand recognition of Alfa Laval being the key stake holder to support relevant products to expand and raise market share. Create the ship owner preference on Alfa Laval product in the new building maker selection phase. Closely work with shipyard and relevant stakeholders reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points Use the OneCRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales Sustainability solution: Establish relationships with clients and be seen as a trusted advisor on Sustainability matters in the market Drive attention around current Market trends and Alfa Laval Ocean Division solutions (such as decarbonization) Assess energy consumption patterns and recommend efficiency improvements for Ship owner's/Charterers and manager's. Engage with industry associations, government agencies, and sustainability platform to strengthen the company's sustainability ecosystem and knowledge exchange. What You Know Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Degree in Marine Engineering a plus. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, possessing exceptional negotiation abilities and natural networking capabilities that drive meaningful business relationships and sustainable growth outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience in IMO Net-Zero Framework (NZF), CII, GFI, and energy efficiency solutions. Strong understanding of Global Shipping market, trends, regulations. Able to work in a matrix environment across with multiple stakeholders. Strong belief in teamwork, accountability and result driven culture.
