Freelance 2D Graphic Designer

About the role

Get Out! Events is looking for a freelance 2D Graphic Designer to support event proposals, campaign visuals, client presentations, on-site event collaterals, social content, and brand assets for corporate and government events. This role is for a designer who can move fast, understand briefs clearly, and use modern AI tools to produce stronger concepts, faster iterations, and cleaner production-ready designs.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D visual assets for event proposals, pitch decks, mood boards, event branding, posters, banners, signage, social media posts, EDMs, and presentation layouts.
• Translate event concepts and client briefs into polished visual directions.
• Produce multiple creative options quickly for internal review and client presentation.
• Adapt approved visual systems across different formats, sizes, and event touchpoints.
• Prepare final artwork files for digital use, print production, and presentation use.
• Work with the Get Out! Events team to refine concepts based on feedback and deadlines.
• Use AI tools where appropriate to speed up ideation, visual exploration, image generation, layout variation, copy-to-visual interpretation, and production workflows.
• AI tools preference
• Strong preference will be given to designers who are already comfortable using AI-assisted creative tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, Canva AI, Ideogram, Freepik AI, Krea, Magnific, Runway, or similar tools.
• We are especially interested in designers who can use AI practically, not just experimentally: generating concept routes, improving visual references, creating presentation-ready mockups, speeding up revisions, and maintaining consistency across deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio of 2D graphic design work, preferably including event, campaign, brand, social, or presentation design.
• Good sense of layout, typography, colour, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, Figma, or equivalent design tools.
• Able to work quickly and independently with clear communication.
• Able to follow brand guidelines and adapt design styles across different clients and event types.
• Experience preparing files for print and digital output.
• Comfortable working on short timelines and multiple design iterations.
• Preferred advantages
• Experience designing for corporate events, government events, roadshows, family days, gala dinners, conferences, exhibitions, or brand activations.
• Familiarity with AI image generation, prompt writing, AI-assisted mockups, and AI-enhanced design workflows.
• Ability to turn rough ideas or text briefs into polished visual concepts quickly.
• Motion graphics, simple animation, or video editing skills are a plus.
