Deputy Manager - Residential Family Assessment Service

Responsibilities

• As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to help run the day‑to‑day service. You'll still be involved in practice, but in a more focused and manageable setting.
• Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting and supervising Family Support Workers and assessment staff
• Contributing to parenting assessments, observations, and report writing
• Quality checking recordings and assessment evidence
• Acting as Safeguarding Lead and attending professional meetings
• Supporting with Ofsted preparation and general quality assurance
• Helping with staff training, induction and development
• What They're Looking For
• A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Strong safeguarding and assessment experience
• Someone confident in supervising or mentoring others
• Good analytical and report‑writing skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Desirable but not essential:
• Experience in residential assessment, court‑related work, or trauma‑informed approaches.
