Responsibilities

  • You will work on high-impact engagements delivering:
  • Commercial due diligence on acquisition targets, assessing market attractiveness, growth outlook, customer needs, competitive positioning, pricing, channel dynamics, risks and upside potential
  • Support across the investment lifecycle: target screening, value creation planning, portfolio company growth strategy and exit preparation

  • Senior client-ready materials: investment committee papers, board materials, executive presentations and management workshops
  • For a Consultant / Senior Consultant , the role will focus on owning workstreams, driving analysis, producing client-ready output and developing strong commercial and investor judgement.
  • For a Project Lead / Manager , the role will also include leading day-to-day delivery, structuring the workplans, story lining, managing client and partner interactions, guiding teams, ensuring quality and developing the next generation of consultants.

  • Consultant / Senior Consultant
  • 2-4 years in strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, transaction services, private equity, corporate strategy, M&A, investment banking or PE-backed businesses
  • Direct exposure to commercial due diligence, market studies, growth strategy or value creation
  • Strong analytical skills: market sizing, business modelling, financial interpretation and data triangulation
  • Ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and commercial risks in transaction settings
  • Ability to own workstreams independently and produce high-quality, client-ready output
  • Interest in technology, software, digital platforms, data-driven business models or tech-enabled services
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; Experience with surveys, expert interviews, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Factiva, Tableau, Alteryx or Python is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English. Local language skills are an advantage where relevant.
  • Experience with technology due diligence, product strategy, software businesses, IT services, SaaS, digital platforms or tech-enabled value creation is an advantage.
  • Project Lead / Manager
  • 4-6 years in top-tier strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate strategy or portfolio value creation
  • Proven track record in commercial due diligence, growth strategy or value creation, ideally with private equity or transaction-driven exposure
  • Ability to lead consulting teams in fast-paced diligence and strategy settings
  • Strong senior stakeholder skills, including the ability to work with private equity investment professionals, corporate development teams, CEOs, CFOs, commercial leaders and board-level audiences
  • Strong problem structuring, hypothesis generation, prioritization and synthesis
  • Commercial judgement, investor mindset and comfort working with ambiguity

We are strengthening our specialist Commercial Due Diligence and Strategy team , advising private equity investors, selected corporate acquirers and portfolio company leadership teams. Our core work is commercial due diligence, growth strategy and value creation across the investment lifecycle. For private equity clients, we support target screening, commercial due diligence, value creation planning, portfolio company strategy and exit preparation. For corporate clients, we focus on commercial due diligence and acquisition-related growth questions, working alongside Deloitte's M&A, tax, legal, technology and sector teams.
