About the role
The Alternate Payment (APM) Manager partners with the Country Head, Product Management team, Implementation Team. Their main goal is to provide a seamless experience between implementation and technical support for all the Unlimit merchants in East Africa; including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, etc. APMs are crucial in Unlimit's global strategy as they allow our merchants to meet their customers with payment systems they are comfortable with. Requirements
- Working knowledge of coding languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, C/C++, Python, CSS, Perl, Shell)
- Experience with APIs (SOAP, REST), Web Services, XML stack, and CI/CD environments
- Familiarity with WSO2, Linux, Kubernetes (K8S), and database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DB2)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Telecommunications Operations in Tanzania
- Understanding of local mobile telecom network architecture
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer query handling skills
- Willingness to work outside standard hours when required
