Planning and Merchant Operations Associate

Requirements

• - 2-4 years of experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or merchandising operations (relevant internships count)
• - Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, comfortable working with large data sets
• - Detail-oriented to a fault - you catch the typo, the missing SKU, the wrong delivery date
• - Organized and proactive; able to juggle multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
• - Exposure to PLM, ERP, or inventory management systems is a plus; willingness to learn is a must
• - Clear written and verbal communicator who knows how to ask the right questions
• - Passion for product, process, and the Buck Mason brand

We're looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our merchandising team and help keep the engine running from buy through delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their merchandising career who loves products, lives in spreadsheets, and gets a real kick out of clean data. You'll get exposure across the full merchandising lifecycle - from buy sheets to POs to post-launch reporting - while learning the craft alongside senior buyers and planners. Product and brand obsession is a must. Buck Mason designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear. Founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen Ford, who were neighbors in Venice, California, they initially set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology, they took an architectural approach to product with the goal of making fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season.
