Interested in joining us on our journey? The Associate HR Generalist provides strategic and operational support to employees and leaders, with a strong emphasis on employee relations. In this role, you will communicate and consult on key areas of Human Resources-including payroll, compensation, benefits, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management-in alignment with HR strategies, policies, and processes. You will partner closely with leadership to ensure adherence to the DPO Handbook and support a positive, productive work environment. This role is responsible for driving employee relations initiatives and providing front-line HR support, with a particular focus on employee relations, investigations, disciplinary action, and job assignments. Position Associate HR Generalist Location USA, Decatur, AL How You'll Create Possibilities Provide day-to-day employee relations support for an assigned Decatur Plant Operations, with a focus on improving culture, employee experience, and retention. Develop and maintain a strong connection to the "pulse" of employees through a balanced plant floor presence; proactively identify and address opportunities for improvement. Establish and promote a cooperative, collaborative work environment between management and employees through the consistent use of positive climate-setting strategies and practices. Partner with the Senior HR Manager to steer and/or coordinate employee engagement and training events, including roundtables and recognition activities. Support the Plant Communications plan and processes to ensure open and ongoing communication to the plant (e.g., meetings, memos, newsletters, roundtables). Update and maintain plant communication channels to ensure accurate and timely communication of company benefits, policies, safety information, and general news. Advise and counsel managers on company policies, regulatory requirements, and other work-related documentation to ensure consistent and compliant application. Manage internal movement and job postings in accordance with company policies, procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Conduct or support workplace investigations and assist in grievance resolution, ensuring timely, thorough, and fair outcomes. Assist with the administration of disciplinary action, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Maintain employee records and files, as well as documentation related to the HR function, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations; ensure confidentiality and security of information. Provide back-up plant payroll support for issues, questions, documentation, and adjustments. Interface with payroll regarding unemployment agency matters. Interface with the Disability COE as needed for disability, workers' compensation, lack of suitable work, and FMLA-related items. Support and/or lead HR and employee relations projects as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.
