About the role
The Tax Platform team builds and operates the real-time tax calculation engine that powers every transaction at DoorDash - from customer orders to subscriptions, merchant fees, ads, etc. As a tier-0 service calculating tax on every cart and order across all business lines and verticals, the Tax Platform is critical to DoorDash's reliability and compliance with complex, ever-evolving tax regulations across all jurisdictions. We partner closely with Strategy & Ops, Tax, Finance, Legal, and various Product teams to ensure accurate tax calculation, reporting, and remittance at scale. DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Tax Platform engineering team. You will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for one of DoorDash's most critical product platforms - a tier-0 service that touches every transaction across DoorDash's global business. You will tackle complex technical challenges at the intersection of distributed systems, regulatory compliance, and financial accuracy, while building a high-performing engineering team.
