About the role

Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program. Essential Functions: Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment. Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance. Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management. Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs. Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time. Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system. Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers. Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager. Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED and electrical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in electricity.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of electrical technical hands-on experience including wiring automation machine control panels and PLCs.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues including 480 volts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control circuits, motors, motor control circuits, and other electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics and apply NEC requirements.
  • Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Ability to read, use and understand gauges, tools and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of mechanics and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
  • Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
  • Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Lathe operation experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Must have organization and housekeeping skills.
  • Must have good communication skills throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, overtime and weekends as required.

Benefits begin the month following the hire date.Salary:The hourly wage for this position is $38.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.Shift Hours:1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift is available for this position.1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm + $0.65 shift differential pay3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday 10:30pm - 6:30am + $0.85 shift differential pay(Note: Training for this position will be on 3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday; 10:30pm - 6:30am + $0.85 shift differential pay during training. The training period is up to 6 months).Sign-On Bonus:$2000 paid in two installments. The first installment of $500 would be paid on the pay cycle following the employee's completion of 30 days of employment.
