Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity In this Postdoctoral Research Fellow role, you will drive innovative metabolic neuroscience across academia and industry. You will design cutting-edge in vivo and in vitro studies to uncover brain-body mechanisms in metabolic disease. You will also mentor students while leveraging advanced transgenic models and multi-omics technologies for translational discovery. What you will deliver: Lead design and execution of complex in vivo metabolic studies, including neural circuit manipulation and targeted drug delivery. Develop and optimise in vitro screening pipelines, including high-throughput drug screening and CRISPR-based functional genomics. Generate, analyse , and interpret multi-omics datasets, integrating spatial proteomics, transcriptomics, and advanced transgenic mouse models. Mentor Honours, Masters and PhD students, supporting training, experiment design, troubleshooting, and scientific communication skills. Contribute to laboratory operations, safety, and industry-focused collaborations, including meetings, reporting, and grant or project activities. You may be a great fit if you: Hold a PhD in neuroscience or a closely related discipline, with strong experimental research training. Bring substantial experience with small laboratory animals, including handling, anaesthesia , monitoring, and stereotaxic neurosurgery in mice. Demonstrate expertise in molecular biology, RNA and protein extraction, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting techniques. Collaborate effectively with senior researchers to design, perform, and analyse complex experiments using rigorous quantitative methods. Manage competing priorities with excellent time management, maintaining accurate records and adhering to ethical, safe laboratory practice. Offer experience or strong interest in industry-focused research, multi-omics analyses, and coding for data processing or visualisation . For further information, please refer to the attached PD.
