We are seeking an Institutional Client Account Associate/ Institutional Client Account Manager to join our Client Services team in Hong Kong. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, differentiated client service to our institutional clients across the Greater China region, with a strong focus on driving client excellence. The successful candidate will proactively engage clients in all aspects of account servicing, develop a deep understanding of client needs, and partner with internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions Through consistent, value-added interactions, the role plays a key part in strengthening client relationships and enhancing the overall client experience. What are the responsibilities of this position? Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to manage all institutional BAU activities, while maintaining a strong understanding of client portfolios and ensuring high service quality. Respond promptly to client inquiries, including custodian changes, agreement and investment guideline updates, reporting clarifications, and resolution of operational incidents (e.g., settlement issues, errors, breaches, and reporting discrepancies). Develop a strong understanding of client requirements and needs; partner closely with Sales to meet client expectations through customized training, client meetings, institutional marketing events, and asset retention initiatives. Lead regular client portfolio review meetings, including meeting coordination and preparation of presentation materials with relevant stakeholders. Participate in and drive client service initiatives and projects, contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery. Play an integral role in new client onboarding and account opening, with a strong understanding of KYC and onboarding processes. Maintain strong business and product knowledge, with high-risk awareness and a solid understanding of system capabilities and limitations. Drive and contribute to best practices in client service delivery, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations. Demonstrate strong team spirit by actively sharing knowledge and best practices within the team. What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? Experience, Education & Certifications: Minimum 5 years of client service or related experience in a client facing role within financial services, servicing institutional clients Experience in asset management client services is preferred Proven experience working in a global business environment, collaborating across diverse cultures and multiple time zones Relevant SFC licenses (Type 1 and/or Type 4) are preferred. Candidates without current licenses must be eligible and willing to obtain the required licenses within a specified timeframe Role seniority will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications Technical Skills: Strong client service orientation with excellent problem solving and issue resolution skills High level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive information accurately Strong capability to prioritize workflows, manage competing deadlines, and coordinate effectively with others Soft Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining accountability and quality standards Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate in a multi-site, cross functional environment Excellent organizational and follow through skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese; additional language proficiency is an advantage Willingness and ability to travel within the region as required #ASSOCIATE Experience our welcoming culture and reach your professional and personal potential!
