Job Details: Job Description : This posting is for the Harvest Room Labor position which Hangs live birds in a shackle. It is scheduled for 2nd Shift. It has a base pay rate of $19.45 per hour. This is the 2nd of 2 postings. Please apply to all postings to increase your chances of winning the bid. If a more senior TM wins this posting, you would need to apply to the other postings to be eligible there. Job Synopsis : Located after the cage dumper, this is the first chain-driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. The motion is repeated for the entire shift. The bird weighs 4 - 5 lbs. Team member needs to hang 25 birds per minute. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Work Environment : This position is required to stand by the conveyors for the whole shift at temperatures ranging with the temperatures outside. Safety Equipment : This position requires the use of personal protective equipment including googles, hair net, beard net, smock, boots, rubber gloves, cotton sleeves, cotton gloves, and hearing protection. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
