About the role
This course has been designed to provide you with a theoretical and practical understanding of the Income Tax Act and fundamental principles of Singapore taxation that apply to various entities that include individuals, sole-proprietorships, partnerships, companies and trusts. The course will also provide you with an understanding of other tax legislation concerned with investment incentives. The course is designed to enable you to acquire an understanding of tax principles through the analysis of case law and through the interpretation of tax legislation. The emphasis is on the understanding of the rationale underlying the various tax legislations, appreciating the most efficient course of action with regard to tax management and planning and the use of taxation as an instrument of social and economic policy. Job Requirements A Ph.D, Master's Degree, or relevant postgraduate qualification in related discipline from a reputable university or professional qualification in Accounting At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage Must be available to conduct a weekly 3-hour lecture for a period of 9 weeks Must be available to teach classes during the day between 8.30AM and 6.30PM, and/or on weekday evenings from 7PM to 9PM We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
