Security Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a Security Specialist in the E-6B FLEET SUPPORT TEAM (FST) TINKER AFB of the SECURITY DIVISION of the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing some or all of the following duties: 1.) Adjudicating security clearance eligibility, processing investigations using systems like the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and managing Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment. 2.) Maintaining Access Control Systems (ACS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), conducting physical security surveys, and developing checklists. 3.) Providing day-to-day oversight of multiple security programs (e.g., INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, OPSEC) to ensure compliance with DoD, DON, and local regulations. 4.) Serving as a liaison and collaborating with internal and external agencies (e.g., other military branches, security forces, investigative services) to coordinate security measures and resolve complex issues.
