Responsibilities

  • Logistics Operations & Coordination
  • Manage outsourced logistics activities and transportation flows for all Inbound & outbound shipments to & from the RDC.
  • Coordinate daily operational requests between Organon global teams and the RDCs.
  • Organize or align shipments with logistics service providers (LSPs) when beneficial from a regional perspective.
  • Ensure smooth execution of outbound flows across EEMEA, Benelux, and global markets.
  • Being first point of contact in solving operational issues.
  • Logging CAPA's towards the freight forwarders / the RDC in case of deviations from the standard process in order to make visible which issues are being encountered and how they can be mitigated.
  • Responsible for the Logistics set up for source changes and new lanes or products. This includes defining of the routing, designing and implementing the processes, assuring compliance and aligning with LSPs.
  • Responsible for reviewing and/or maintaining Logistics Parameters on a regional level, like e.g. Routes, Shipping Calendars etc.
  • Performance Monitoring & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain daily logistics reporting files.
  • Review and follow up on temperature excursions for shipped deliveries to ensure compliance with quality and GDP standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and service levels.
  • Participating in regular operational review meetings with LSPs
  • Participating in 3PL planning cycles: weekly (delivery scheduling) and monthly (rough-cut capacity planning cycle).
  • Participating in weekly and monthly governance processes with 3PL to monitor performance (output volume, timeliness, schedule adherence), aligning on prioritization and issue escalation/remediation.
  • Working with logistics providers to actively look for cost savings and performance improvements.
  • Participating in projects to reduce the logistics cost base or improve performance
  • Inventory & Financial Support
  • Manage inventory accuracy and reconciliation activities within the RDC.
  • Execute month-end closing tasks related to stock and logistics operations.
  • Support the manager with financial reporting and cost‑tracking activities.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Maintain strong working relationships with 3rd‑party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including site logistics, planning, and demand fulfillment teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact between Organon worldwide and the RDCs.
  • Be a backup and support for the roles of your colleagues in the department whenever necessary to ensure the business processes keep running smoothly
  • Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in supply chain related activities.
  • Experience in supplier management, knowledge of KPI's and CAPA management.
  • At least a bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Able to work within cross-functional teams; able to work with different cultures

Job Description The position The Logistics Specialist is a key member of the EMEA Logistics Services Team, reporting to the BMB + Geel Distribution & Logistics Associate Director (EMEA). This role supports the outsourced logistics operations and transportation flows for shipments leaving Organon's Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) in Boortmeerbeek and Geel, Belgium. These RDCs play a central role in Organon's global supply chain, supporting the Heist manufacturing plant, acting as a regional hub for EEMEA, and serving Benelux and global customers.
