Job Description About the Department The Wholesale Banking function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients. Overview of the Role Development and management of borrowing account portfolio to franchise the bank services and maximize the bank income from the portfolio. Growing existing clients' wallet share through cross selling full range of products and services, including cash management services, treasury services as well as new digital banking solutions leveraging UOB's expertise. Management and assessment of creditworthiness, account conduct and business opportunities of borrowing accounts inclusive of annual/ periodic credit review for existing borrowing accounts. Co-ordination with product partners, internal operations team and business support units to provide the good banking service and product solutions to borrowing customers and to ensure the bank interest. Job Responsibilities Develop the new borrowing accounts and enhance the relationship with existing borrowing accounts. Arrange the regular site visits and meetings to clients including the prospects to explore the possible business opportunities and to build up the pipeline deals for marketing purpose. Work closely with Business Units in other countries to take care of the Group borrowing accounts, which are operating in Vietnam and requiring the banking service with the bank. Work with Credit Analysis to provide the comments and evaluation on the credit cases including the annual/ periodic credit review cases. Gather information and provide justification for any questions and clarifications from Management and/or Credit Approver in relation to the credit case submission. Build up the account strategy for borrowing accounts to increase the bank's wallet share and continuously monitor the account conduct and creditworthiness of the borrowing accounts. Act as the key contact and account owner and work with relevant internal teams such as Client Fulfilment Service, Operation Units, Customer Service to serve daily transactions of borrowing accounts. Identify customers' banking requirements from an end-to-end perspective and co-ordinate solutions with inputs from Product Partners, Global Relationship Managers and SSG. Maintain strong oversight of portfolio with clear monitoring of risk events. Other duties to be assigned by Business Head from time to time. Job requirements Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance & Banking Experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking for at least 10 years for Relationship Manager position. Requires credit assessment, analytics and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Fluent English communicator in speaking & writing. Outgoing and ability to build rapport with clients. A self-starter who has displayed a track record of being able to work independently in client acquisition and has a keen mind to learn new solutions.
