GS-13: 1 year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include serving as an expert on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other environmental laws, including the interpretation and application of regulations, executive orders, or policies, to perform comprehensive environmental review on developmental activities on Indian trust lands; experience in environmental compliance, environmental management systems and sustainability programs; writing environmental impact statements, environmental assessments and categorical exclusions; working effectively with multiple permitting agencies at the local, state, tribal, and federal levels to resolve complex problems and coordination; and preparing technical reports for inspections, investigations and remedial actions.
