ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. We have opportunities for Civil Worker to join our team in permanent roles based out of our Rockdale depot working under the direction of our Supervisors, in crews of 2-4 people, you will be critical in delivering services under this contract. Responsibilities

• To support the delivery of maintenance to the Road Network will include but not limited to:
• Routine maintenance
• Minor repairs involving concreting, paving, earthworks and asphalting
• Pavement crack sealing
• Installing and repairing signs
• Maintaining drainage systems
• Vegetation & Grass Cutting.
• Graffiti Removal
• General waste cleaning and litter removal
• General labouring and assisting specialist Trades
• Traffic Control (if you hold applicable tickets)
• Safe and efficient operation of light rigid plant equipment (if you hold applicable licences)
• Attending to traffic incidents and supporting clean up and rectification works on damaged assets
• Supporting traffic commanders and emergency services in the discharge of their duties related to incidents
• Accurately completing and submitting appropriate safety paperwork (SWMS etc.)
• Participation of On Call Roster for emergency and after hours call outs
• Directing small road maintenance crews and ensuring the compliance and completion of all safety paperwork (Team Leader only)
• Ensure all safety processes and procedures are adhered to
• About You:
• Experience working in road/civil maintenance
• Experience in emergency and incident response
• General Construction Induction Card (essential)
• MR or HR Truck licence (essential)
• Experience in the safe operation of plant equipment (desirable, not essential)
• Traffic Control Ticket(s) (TCR, IMP and/or PWZ) (desirable, not essential)
• Operating ticket(s) (Tracker, Excavator, Grader, Backhoe, skid steer etc.) (desirable, not essential)
• Working in confined spaces (desirable, not essential)
• Working at Heights (desirable, not essential)
• Current driver's license (essential)
• EWPA Yellow Card (Australia)
