Cloud Engineering Technical Leader

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and people management for a distributed team of professionals embedded across various Scrum teams. Participate and guiding team in on‑call rotations, incident response, and post‑incident reviews to ensure platform reliability.
• Guiding and p articipate in the d esign, implementation, and evolution of OpenStack-based private cloud solutions and hybrid cloud infrastructure with a focus on high availability and performance.
• Guiding and p articipate in d esign, deploy and maintain the enterprise DNS architecture, including authoritative DNS, recursive DNS, forwarding, delegation, DNSSEC, and DNS service integrations to support hybrid cloud environments.
• Guiding and participate in a utomate workflows and operational tasks related to cloud and OS platform services, integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Guiding and p articipate in d evelop and maintain infrastructure as code and automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure services using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

Requirements

• 7 + years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) of experience in software development or cloud/platform engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python/Java/Go (Golang) or other programming languages used in cloud platforms. And e xperience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Deep expertise in DNS protocols, architecture, and enterprise DNS technologies such as Infoblox, BIND, or BlueCat, including DNSSEC and hybrid cloud DNS patterns.
• Deep understanding of OpenStack internals, Linux Kernel and networking fundamentals.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu) and security hardening practices.
• Knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security solutions.
• Knowledge of security hardening standards (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guides) across Linux operating systems and cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements.
• Experience integrating DNS with IPAM, DHCP, cloud networking, and platform automation.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices and platform hardening.
• Experience with C I/CD, GitOps, or developer platform enablement.
