About the role

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, prepares, packages, and distributes medications and pharmaceutical supplies. Assist patients at point-of-sale Collect money, provide patient with a receipt, and prepare daily cash deposits consistently. Assist in maintaining refrigerator logs. Maintain the cleanliness of the prescription pharmacy in an organized manner. Report and/or forward operational issues to leadership and use reporting utilities appropriately to expedite resolutions. When appropriate, review physicians' orders and transcribe required information into patients' computerized drug profiles. Inventory control and order medications, based on PAR levels. Ensure medications are in date by performing monthly inspections of assigned areas. Return to Stock medication to patients' profile when appropriate. Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner. Utilize AIDET at all times. Answer telephone with appropriate greeting and efficiency. Assemble patients' medications for the pharmacist to check. Assist leadership in the implementation of workflows, process improvement initiatives and organizational directives. Float to other pharmacies, as needed, as determined by leadership. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program (Preferred)
  • 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)
  • Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacist Intern licensed with the State of Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
  • PTCB certification preferred.
