Junior System Engineer (No Experience required) (AMK)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Windows Server 2019/2016 configurations including Windows Domain Administration and Microsoft Failover Clustering to ensure high availability and performance
• Develop and maintain Windows RDS Architecture to support remote desktop services effectively
• Apply Group Policy Objects (GPO) and perform OS hardening to enhance system security and compliance
• Execute OS patching and upgrading to maintain system stability and security
• Configure, upgrade, harden, and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2016/2017 to optimize database performance and security
• Deploy and maintain Linux-based Virtual Appliances and Ubuntu OS to support diverse operating environments
• Configure and manage Commvault backup jobs to ensure reliable data protection and recovery
• Design and implement network and network security solutions to safeguard ICT infrastructure
• Apply system security concepts including SSL certificate management to protect data integrity and privacy
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize system downtime and extend hardware lifespan
• Respond promptly to system faults on-site 24/7 and communicate effectively with users to resolve issues
• Conduct hands-on management of virtual machines (VMs) in the datacenter to ensure operational continuity
• Analyze system requirements and propose architecture and solutions that align with business needs
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation to support operational transparency and knowledge sharing
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in system engineering roles
• Proficiency in the following skills: Windows Server configuration, Windows Domain Administration, Microsoft Failover Clustering, Windows RDS Architecture, GPO, OS hardening, OS patching/upgrading, Microsoft SQL Server configuration and administration
