$90,000.00 to $100,000 AnnualGeneral Description/Primary Purpose:Job Functions:The position requires a highly motivated and organized employee who is responsible for the following tasks:Data analysis of all asphalt-related full-scale pavement testing and supplementary laboratory testing.Continuous review of asphalt-related data to ensure accuracy.Coordination with UNF Operations Team to support sensor condition, calibration needs, and any procedures or needs to ensure reliable data quality.Conducting advanced analytical techniques (or AI-based techniques) on asphalt materials and pavement performance data.Contributing to database development, data reporting, data visualization, and data accessibility.Focus on data Quality Control (QC) and verification of reported data.Contributing to the efforts pertaining to asphalt in designing the experiments, development of test plans, identifying proper sensor types, modifying test tools, analyzing the data, and reporting research findings.Identification of research needs related to asphalt.Reporting on analytical findings and final deliverables.Implementation and ongoing development of new technologies and infrastructure to improve pavement data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvements in this area moving forward.Required QualificationsThe Staff Asphalt Research Engineer is expected to have 2+ years' experience in asphalt pavement research and design, with an advanced university degree preferred. The position requires clear communication and strong presentation (written and oral) skills.Statement(s) of UnderstandingThis position requires a background check.
