Position Summary This position will support daily yard operations, customer transactions, and administrative functions. This role combines outdoor labor responsibilities with office and cashiering duties, ensuring efficient material handling, accurate sales transactions, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Yard Operations Load and unload landscape materials (e.g., rock, sand, gravel, mulch) using loaders and other equipment. Assist customers with product selection and safe loading procedures. Maintain yard organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Office & Cashiering Duties Accurately weigh, ticket, and process customer orders. Handle cash, credit card, and account transactions in accordance with company policies. Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile transactions. Perform basic data entry, filing, and administrative support. Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries professionally. Driving & Delivery Responsibilities Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company standards. Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations. Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles. Perform local deliveries to customers in a timely and professional manner. Ensure proper load securement and adherence to weight restrictions. Demonstrate the ability to climb in and out of truck beds or equipment as required. Customer Service Provide friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable service to all customers. Communicate clearly via phone, radio, and face-to-face interactions. Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues as needed. Additional Responsibilities Travel between locations as required. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
