Field Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to identify business opportunities with system and device knowledge
• Study system specifications to understand challenge of customer new design, make solution proposal
• Promote Wolfspeed solution and device to customer design to build design-in pipeline
• Monitor customer design efforts, provide remote and on-site support to close technical issues to get design-win
• Answer technical inquiries from existing and prospective customers with proper documentation and timely feedback/analysis
• Support new product launches, including training for Wolfspeed sales engineers and regional channel partners
• Distribute reference design and demonstrate the platforms from AE team to target customers
• Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training
• Provide market feedback to BU with consolidated customer requirements to define new products and product enhancements

Requirements

• BS degree in Power Electronics
• Minimum of 5 years for power systems design or FAE position with practical experience
• Has connection with new energy and power supply market major suppliers
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Customer presentation skills
