Responsibilities

  • CAD Design & Modeling: Assist in developing detailed 3D mechanical concepts and models using SolidWorks or CATIA V5.
  • Engineering Analysis: Learn to perform structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM) to validate design integrity.
  • Design Optimization: Participate in design reviews and learn to apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and Design to Cost methodologies to models.
  • Prototyping & Assembly: Support physical prototyping efforts, including operating FDM and SLA 3D printers, and actively participate in the mechanical assembly of solutions.
  • Technical Documentation: Generate and interpret comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings, learning the proper application of tolerances, clearances, and part fits.
  • Manufacturing Support: Assist with production workflows and provide foundational support for CNC machining processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field (Recent graduate from 2024 till 2026, or up to 1 year of experience).
  • Software Skills: Academic or internship exposure to 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks or CATIA V5).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of mechanical fits, engineering tolerances, and standard 2D drafting practices.
  • Hands-on Experience: Practical background or graduation project experience in additive manufacturing (specifically FDM and SLA technologies).
  • Manufacturing: Basic understanding of CNC machining processes, shop-floor operations, and manufacturing readiness.
