Actuary

Responsibilities

• Deliver actuarial analysis and insights to support product strategy, pricing and portfolio performance
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities through analysis of product, customer and market data
• Support the development, enhancement and implementation of new products and product features
• Provide actuarial input into business initiatives, financial modelling and strategic projects
• Monitor product performance and recommend actions to improve outcomes
• Prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver product and pricing initiatives
• Support regulatory, governance and compliance requirements
• About you
• Degree qualified in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
• Progressing towards or qualified as a Fellow/Associate of the Actuaries Institute (or equivalent)
• Strong experience in actuarial, pricing, product, portfolio analytics or insurance-related roles
• Experience within Private Health Insurance is highly regarded but not essential
• Candidates from general insurance, life insurance, health insurance, other analytical environments are encouraged to apply
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL, SAS or other data analytics tools
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation
