Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Three years post-residency experience evaluating and treating diverse patients with complex medical, substance use, and mental health disorders Doctoral degree from an accredited and approved school of medicine or osteopathic medicine Must have completed an approved U.S. Residency/Fellowship training program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine issued by the State of Arizona Current, unrestricted board certification from the American Board of Family Physicians, the American Board of Internal Medicine, or the American Board of Emergency Medicine We Also Value Experience in a leadership position as a manager, supervisor, or another lead role involving clinical program oversight. Experience working with incarcerated individuals Experience working with complex patients in an institutional environment Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) Job Contributions Provides clinical oversight of Physicians and Advance Practice Providers providing 24-hour medical services at the Intake, Transfer, Release (ITR) facility of Correctional Health Services. Acts as Supervising Physician for Physician Assistants practicing at ITR or as needed throughout CHS Provides on-call at home support as needed for urgent clinical case review to Advance Practice Providers on shift at ITR as needed Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the Executive Leadership Team to oversee various administrative functions to improve the initial health assessments of patients admitted to the ITR facility under CHS care Performs comprehensive chart reviews periodically and as needed for quality improvement, legal review, morbidity/mortality review, or administrative reviews. Collaborates closely with the Assistant Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Lead Psychiatrist, Mental Health Director, Dental Director, Pharmacy Director, Clinical Manager of Addiction Medicine, Nursing, and other leaders to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based care, treatment, and services are provided to every patient.
