About the role

This position is located in the Courts' Center for Education and Training (CET) under the general supervision of the Director of the CET. The Deputy Director is responsible for assisting the Director in the coordination and administration of the CET including strategic goals and deadlines in accordance with overall division responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; seven (7) years of experience leading, developing, planning, and/or administering education/training programs and at least three (3) years of experience managing, supervising and coaching employees. EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: A master's degree from an accredited university or college; five (5) years of experience leading, developing, planning, and/or administering education/training programs and at least three (3) years of experience managing, supervising and coaching employees. A law degree from an accredited university or college; four (4) years of experience leading, developing, planning, and/or administering education/training programs and at least three (3) years of experience managing, supervising and coaching employees. Graduation from the DC Court's Management Training Program may be substituted for one (1) year of supervisory experience. You must provide documentation of your management training (i.e. copy of certificate) with your application. PREFERRED: A professional degree plus legal and courtroom experience. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts' values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
