About the role

The human brain is the most complex object in the universe, yet society had accepted one-size-fits all approaches to cognition. The "solutions" (think coffee, energy drinks, and even a friend's rx) were mediocre at best and frankly, made no sense to us. So, we created Thesis, the world's first customized nootropics company. If you've never heard that word before, it's just a fancy way of saying brain supplements. In five years, most will be taking nootropics on the daily and chances are, they'll be ours. With an exceptional efficacy rate, the world has taken notice - we've raised over $14M in venture capital, garnered interest from leading neuroscientists and athletes, and established ourselves as the industry's leading brand. Now, we're looking for incredible people to help us share the gift of enhanced cognitive function with the world. If you're looking to be a part of a movement - one that involves both immense self-growth and an ambitious mission to pioneer an industry - we'd love to have you on the team. Thesis is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Director who can work autonomously across all areas of production, planning, packaging, logistics, fulfillment, procurement and distribution. This leader will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and month-end close, and will lead our channel expansion strategy and new format innovation as well. This person is no stranger to startup environments or people management, will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. How You'll Make an Impact: Improve and maintain systems and processes to build out best-in-class supply planning & manufacturing processes with the goal of preventing stockouts. Create and execute purchasing plans based on demand and sales forecasts. Proactively build, maintain, and manage raw material procurement network and manufacturer relationships to ensure Thesis is top of mind, stabilizing new relationships, and managing relationships with our legacy suppliers. Negotiate price, quantity and terms with existing and potential suppliers and logistics carriers to optimize speed and/or cost. Oversee quality assurance and product compliance testing. Manage our internal production team to ensure we maintain timely shipping, order accuracy and proper returns processing. Ensure proper organization and payment of invoices. Partner closely with R&D to facilitate commercialization of new and emerging product initiatives. Partner closely with finance on financial planning, forecasting, and month-end close. Continue to add talent and build your team as the needs of the business evolve. We're Excited About Your: 5-7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field within a DTC CPG or supplements business. Direct experience in end-to-end supply chain management of a company that has gone through explosive growth, while managing a growing team and working closely with cross-functional executives. Familiarity with retail or wholesale operations (supplements familiarity is a plus). Experience working with Amazon, TikTok Shop, or other marketplace order flows is a plus. Strong experience managing co-packers, 3PLs and internal manufacturing. Proven track record of preventing out-of-stock issues. Experience identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities across manufacturing and fulfillment. Outstanding project management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate workflow. Highly collaborative and self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills. CX or customer ticket experience is a plus, but not required. Pay Transparency: We can't quantify everything we think you'll love about working at Thesis, from the exciting projects you'll work on, to the smart and humble team you'll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and equity.
