RSM US Integrated Services is a member of RSM International, the sixth largest global network of independent accounting, tax, and consulting firms. RSM is seeking a manager - Tax to lead and execute direct and indirect tax compliance, international tax matters, and financial governance activities for its India operations. This role combines strong technical expertise with hands-on execution and will play a key role in ensuring robust compliance, managing tax risks, and supporting global tax alignment. The role will work closely with the Director - Finance (Tax & Financial Governance) and India CFO, while partnering with US and global tax leadership to support cross-border tax matters, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance. This position requires a "roll-up-the-sleeves" mindset with the ability to independently drive outcomes while contributing to continuous improvement of tax processes and governance frameworks. Qualification and Minimum Entry Requirements Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or MBA Finance or equivalent qualification 5-10 years of progressive experience in direct and indirect tax within accounting firms or multinational organizations Strong expertise in Indian tax frameworks (GST, corporate tax, withholding tax) with hands-on experience in filings, assessments, and reconciliations Exposure to international taxation including cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and tax treaty concepts Experience supporting or managing APA / MAP processes, tax audits, and litigation matters Experience working with ERP systems (Tally / SAP / Workday preferred) and strong data handling capability Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work across finance, legal, HR, and global tax teams Position Responsibilities Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance Leadership Lead end-to-end execution of GST and direct tax compliance including return filings, reconciliations, advance tax, and tax provisioning Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all statutory filings and tax reporting Drive resolution of tax notices, assessments, and departmental queries Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation across finance processes International Tax & Transfer Pricing Support international tax matters including intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border tax implications Partner with global tax teams to assess impact of evolving regulations on business operations Support APA / MAP processes and ensure alignment with transfer pricing policies Evaluate permanent establishment (PE) risks and global mobility-related tax implications Audit, Litigation & Regulatory Management Lead preparation and submission of responses for tax audits, assessments, and litigation Coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities Ensure strong documentation, audit trails, and defensible tax positions Tax Accounting & Business Integration Work closely with controllership and payables teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and compliance in financial records Review tax implications on vendor payments, contracts, and business transactions Ensure proper withholding tax application and reporting Process Improvement & Governance Drive standardization and strengthening of tax processes, controls, and compliance frameworks Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency Support implementation of systems (including Workday transition) for tax reporting and compliance Business Partnership & Leadership Support Act as a key support to the Director and India CFO on tax matters, risk assessment, and compliance strategy Partner with US and global tax leadership on reporting, policy alignment, and compliance requirements Provide practical, business-aligned tax guidance on operational and strategic decisions Key Skills & Attributes Strong technical expertise across direct, indirect, and international tax Hands-on execution mindset with ownership of deliverables Ability to translate complex tax matters into practical business implications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Abilit
