About the role

You will serve as the command safety program manager for the Officer In Charge of Construction at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (OICC PSNS) for the execution of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) to include utility, waterfront, and major industrial facilities and infrastructure construction. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to advise on or resolve technical matters dealing with occupational safety and health requirements; 2) Developing and implementing programs to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents and occupational illnesses; 3) Inspecting or surveying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards; and 4) Training of workers, supervisors, managers, or other safety and occupational health personnel in safety or occupational health subjects.
