*** This position is contingent upon contract award *** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Carpenter to provide support for a Facilities and Life Support Contract performed at an overseas location. Essential Job Duties Must have knowledge of preventative maintenance programs. Possess practical knowledge of repairs, installation of floor and ceiling tile, walls (plaster, block, drywall), masonry work, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, form work and general knowledge of the painting trade. Must be able to operate small power tools and machinery as required. Must read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints. Must possess leadership skills. Must possess the skills and attitudes to effectively communicate with the customer and subordinates. Minimum Requirements Active in scope Secret clearance. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program for a journeyman carpenter with eight (8) years of experience in trade and building maintenance. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Work Environment Must reside at an overseas location. A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Long hours, exposure to harsh weather and other hazardous conditions. Wear of location appropriate PPE and clothing when in the field is required.
