As our pipeline of work grows, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle and/or Brisbane. Ideally, you will have experience in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines, with previous tasks including the review of design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modelling, oversight of drafting and the preparation of reports and specifications. Building strong client relationships and demonstrating your ability to understand our client's core business you will be able to provide solutions and service to clients both off and on site. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes for the business and our valuable clients you will have gained experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office project team. Your ideal skills and expertise: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering A minimum of 8 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipeline) design Experience in managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects Provision of specialist knowledge, technical review and advice and technical leadership in your area of expertise Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks A commitment to working safely, and within the company's HSEQ systems Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and a broad range of audiences Coaching and mentoring team members Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
