Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair works for EV trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Repair and replace defective vehicle components including EV battery systems, braking systems, suspension, steering, air-conditioning, drivetrain, and 12V/24V DC electrical systems .
- Conduct inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of EV charging systems, high-voltage systems, 12V/24V DC electrical circuits , and overall vehicle performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and software.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation of 12V/24V DC electrical components , including wiring harnesses, relays, fuses, switches, lighting systems, sensors, motors, and control modules.
- Carry out servicing and repair works according to manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.
- Support breakdown recovery and emergency repair services when required.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to perform fault code analysis and vehicle system checks.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and repair manuals.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and proper handling of high-voltage EV systems.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, proper housekeeping, and safe usage of tools and equipment.
- Coordinate and work closely with workshop supervisors, service advisors, and technical teams to ensure smooth workshop operations.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management or Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in EV vehicles, commercial trucks, or automotive repair.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with 12V/24V DC automotive electrical systems , including electrical troubleshooting, wiring, circuit testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Basic knowledge of EV battery systems, charging systems, and high-voltage safety.
- Able to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, servicing, and repair work independently.
- Familiar with vehicle diagnostic tools, multimeters, electrical testing equipment, and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems for commercial vehicles.
- Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- Able to work in a workshop environment and perform hands-on repair work.
- Possess a Class 3 or Class 4 driving licence is an advantage.
- Candidates with heavy truck, commercial vehicle, or EV repair experience will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in 12V/24V DC truck electrical systems, CAN Bus diagnostics, and electrical fault finding will have an added advantage.
- Candidates who are able to start work within short notice will be preferred.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin to coordinate with Mandarin-speaking customers, workers, and suppliers.
