The Senior Manager of Quality Programs is responsible for designing, leading, and scaling quality programs across the product lifecycle-from design and supplier onboarding through manufacturing, market release, and post-market surveillance. This role partners closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure quality is embedded into processes, not inspected in after the fact. This leader will manage complex, cross-functional programs, translate quality strategy into execution, and drive measurable improvements in product performance, compliance, and consumer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Quality Program Leadership
- Own and lead enterprise-wide quality programs (e.g., risk management, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), supplier quality, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives).
- Translate quality strategy into scalable programs, tools, and governance models.
- Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to monitor program effectiveness and drive accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Customer Experience teams to embed quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Influence senior stakeholders to align on quality priorities, trade-offs, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Act as a key quality voice in product development, change management, and escalation forums.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Quality
- Support and oversee supplier quality programs, including qualification, performance monitoring, audits, and issue resolution.
- Drive root cause analysis and systemic corrective actions for internal and external quality issues.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and consumer expectations.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure alignment with applicable quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA, regional compliance as applicable).
- Lead quality risk assessments and ensure proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely, effective follow-up actions.
- People & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop quality program managers or cross-functional team members.
- Build quality capability across the organization through training, standard work, and best-practice sharing.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and consumer-first thinking.
Requirements
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or a related field.
- 8-12+ years of experience in quality, operations, or program management within consumer goods, manufacturing, or a regulated product environment.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional quality programs.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, CAPA, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills.
- Preferred
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Quality certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lead Auditor).
- Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing partners.
