Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence
- Deploy changes, patches, and releases in test and production environments (core responsibility).
- Prepare, present, test and execute changes in Production - requiring on‑site presence 3 days per week .
- Perform occasional Production changes outside business hours ( ± once per month ).
- Log, investigate and resolve/escalate operational issues occurring in test and production systems.
- Ensure high availability, data integrity, and security through appropriate controls and validation.
- Systems & Platform Management
- Maintain and operate a mission‑critical application deployed across multiple data centers, based on micro‑services and synchronous replication.
- Contribute to resiliency and capacity improvements in collaboration with other engineering teams.
- DevOps & Continuous Delivery
- Design, maintain, and evolve our DevOps pipeline using technologies including Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, ArgoCD , and others.
- Participate in code and configuration reviews to enforce best practices, resilience, and consistency.
- Promote automation, shift‑left principles, and reliability‑focused engineering.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in change planning and risk mitigation activities.
- Stay up to date on DevOps tools, SRE practices, modern deployment techniques, and industry trends.
- Suggest improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and operational robustness
- Professional Qualifications
- Profile & Soft Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable driving improvements and managing change.
- Customer‑oriented with strong attention to quality and detail.
- Team‑player with an open, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Able to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with agile methodologies is an asset.
- Technical skills
- Required
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux systems (RedHat preferred).
- Experience with continuous delivery technologies: Jenkins, Git, Maven, Jira, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, OpenShift, Ansible, ArgoCD .
- Experience with databases ( Oracle, H2 ) and data modelling.
- Understanding of SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, XML (schema, XSLT) .
- Knowledge of distributed frameworks ( Kafka, Zookeeper ).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python).
- Comfortable collaborating with Java development teams (reading logs, understanding stack traces, deployment artifacts, etc.).
