Responsibilities
- Performing routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.

- Complete all duties as assigned with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Join Houston Hub Emergency Response Team.
- Able to certify as both inside and outside operator.
- Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and one of the following is required: Five (5) or more years of industrial experience.
- Associate's degree or higher in process technology, science or engineering related field.
- In lieu of a degree, Dow will consider those with three (3) or more years of relevant military service.
- Willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime as required.
- Must have a current, valid US Driver's License.
- Able to manage the physical and mental demand of monitoring control systems as a board operator during routine and non-routine operations.
- Able to meet physical requirements for the emergency response team. 3-year commitment to join Houston Hub Emergency Response Team.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Requirements
- Experience as a Process Operator at a Chemical Plant, Refinery, or equivalent.
- Process Technology Certification.
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude is the ability to understand and use machines or tools.
- Emergency Procedures: Plans or actions that are conducted quickly and effectively in response to a specific emergency situation that could pose an immediate risk to health, life, property, or the environment.
