Provisioning Agents at Southwest help get planes stocked and cleaned before each flight. They load snacks, drinks, and ice, set up entertainment kits, and tidy up cabin areas so everything is ready to go. You'll work in the warehouse and on the ramp, driving equipment, moving supplies, and teaming up with Flight Attendants and other Agents. At Southwest, Part-Time Employees generally work 32 hours over 5 days, but schedules are determined in accordance with a seniority-based bidding process. New Hires will complete 4- 6 weeks of training. Training will consist of 8-hours of classroom or on-the-job training over 5 days each week. After completing training, Part-Time New Hire work weeks will consist of 6.5-hour shifts over 5 days, with the potential for mandatory overtime. This role is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which means pay, schedules, and other job details are set through an agreement with the labor union. Work schedules are based on seniority and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. There may be times when mandatory overtime is required to support flight operations, but there are also opportunities to trade shifts and find a schedule that works for you. Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse area: Works in warehouse, preparing items for stocking and operating forklift and pallet jacks as necessary Packs and repacks liquor, beer, wine containers and completes inventory with an electronic device Loads and stores multiple bags of ice for loading onto provisioning trucks. Handles 30 or more bags of ice a day per shift Prepares perishable items for stocking on aircraft Reviews flight information to plan for snack flights. Consolidates snacks which are consumed for future flights Packs and repacks entertainment kits and assures aircraft is equipped with such kits. Keeps work area clean by sweeping, mopping, wiping down counter tops and organizing warehouse supplies Maintains provisioning truck in a clean orderly manner.
