About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Nursing Assistant Qualifications: General and/or Specialized Experience: Six months of general experience (1) any type of work that demonstrates my ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with nonprofessional nursing care, such as performing work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other medical, nursing or patient care facility AND at least six months of Specialized Experience which is equivalent to the GS-03 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing personal nursing care, such as, feeding, bathing, or transporting patients; maintaining patient medical records; and obtaining vital signs or specimens from patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-03).
