How you'll make a difference Lead the delivery of system safety, assurance, and RAM activities across complex transport programs by developing safety cases, hazard logs, and reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses to support safe and compliant system outcomes. Establish and manage system safety assurance frameworks by defining safety V&V requirements, coordinating independent safety assurance and assessment activities, and ensuring robust hazard management, risk control, and compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory obligations. Undertake hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation through structured processes (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, fault tree analysis), ensuring risks are effectively controlled and communicated to stakeholders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners, and regulators by facilitating safety and assurance workshops, providing clear evidence-based reporting, and supporting integration across engineering, operations, and program functions. Strong expertise in safety assurance processes, including hazard management, safety case development, and RAM analysis methodologies. Proven ability to apply relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., EN 50126 suite, EN 50129, EN 50657, ISO 31000, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288) within multi-stakeholder environments. Experience working with regulators and independent assessors, with strong communication skills to manage risk, compliance, and assurance across complex programs.
