The Law & Regulation Analyst II (official NJM job title) assists the Law and Regulation Department with ensuring Business Units adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements when performing company operations. This position promotes a culture of compliance throughout the organization. The Level II Analyst also assists the Law and Regulation Department with special projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Research property and casualty insurance industry compliance regulations and laws Assist in the management of the proposed regulatory comments workflow Perform audits and compliance reviews to evaluate / assess internal operational and procedural compliance Review, summarize, and distribute quarterly reports on Market Conduct activity in the states the Company conducts business Assist with compliance meetings and educating employees on regulatory requirements Assist with compliance reporting Support evolving regulatory compliance strategies, policies, and procedures based on new laws/regulations and/or business priorities Assist in the management of the Legal Referral workflow Assist in the analysis and review of complaints and responses Support the Law and Regulation Department with special projects Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years property casualty insurance industry experience Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Attention to detail and organized Results-oriented, able to successfully take ownership, and problem solve Strong analytical skills Collaborative, with strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to customer service Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively while producing a high-quality work product Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
