Also to performs electrical access control repairs for Public Safety as needed, as well as routine office coordination including Security Device testing while focusing on the delivery of exceptional customer service. Essential Functions - Collaborates with supervisor to develop procedures and manage systems for creating and distributing keying related tasks across the health system. Assesses and identifies security vulnerabilities in locks and security systems and provides suitable recommendations. - Prepares Key Hierarchy for new builds and remodels and orders appropriate hardware needs from vendors. Creates and maintains records of all key systems and security measures implemented for easy reference and future maintenance. - Staffs the hospital's Lock shop/Security device offices and serves as the primary point of contact for customer service in bitting new, replacement, or updated keying for employees. Mails appropriate keys to community-based/clinic locations and manages the tracking of said keys. Provides exceptional customer service and creates keys in a timely and efficient manner. - Assists Public Safety staff with troubleshooting and correcting problems related to all access control issues related to keys, card readers, and doors. Keeps up to date with the latest advancements in lock technology and security systems to provide the most effective and efficient services. - Orders keying/security device supplies accurately and timely to maintain stock levels. Follows established purchasing policies and guidelines. Ensures accuracy of documentation related to purchases. - Performs other related general office and record keeping duties as well as various customer service requests. - Performs special assignments and projects such as security device testing as directed by the Public Safety Systems Supervisor or Public Safety Director. Education: - High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required - Apprenticeship or Vocational training preferred - If no formal training is present, completion of an Apprenticeship or Vocational program within 2 years of employment preferred
