About the role

Aurora Behavioral Health Care-San Diego is a fiscally stable, growing organization seeking a Director of Plant Operations to provide dynamic leadership. Also acts as the company Safety Officer and Chair for Safety Committee. *Pay Range: 85K to 105K Annually Work Site Location: 11878 Avenue of Industry, San Diego, CA 92128 Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hospital. Planning, implementing, and organizing projects. IT/Telecom Taking accountability for the overall plant operation to include housekeeping. Responsible for allocating resources, monitoring operations, and triggering corrective actions. Ability to multi-task Competencies: Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills. Technical Expertise, Facility Management skills, Preventative Maintenance and Project Management skills. Safety Standards: Understanding of OSHA regulations and other Safety Standards relevant to HealthCare facilities. Evaluation of hospital fire safety programs accident prevention and compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII, OSHA and other regulatory directives. Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee Plant Maintenance Operations staff and Housekeeping. Maintain up to date requirements for Plant Ops and Housekeeping. Train new Plant Operations staff. Travel Required: Local only Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Associate Degree, preferred. Plumbing, electrician, or general contractor certification/license preferred. Minimum Work Experience: Minimum 3 years' previous management experience. Management experience in Healthcare Hotels or University environment. Behavioral Healthcare experience preferred. Familiarity with Joint Commission, OSHA, HCAI/OSHPD. Skilled in Microsoft Office and CA DL required. Required Certifications: Verbal De-escalation and Physical Restraint Technique Training (provided) and BLS CPR Certifications required prior to completion of new employee orientation. Provided by Aurora Behavioral Health Care. Physical Demands: Standing or walking for long periods of time and the ability to crawl in tight spaces.. Visual Acuity; work requires the visual acuity to inspect and analyze the operation of machines, including inspections, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes.
