Job Title Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) Outpatient Hematology Oncology II (Martin) Location Stuart Facility Martin Health North Department Medical Oncology Cancer Center-Cleveland Clinic Martin Health Job Code 001128 Shift Days + Call Schedule 8:00am-5:00pm Job Summary Job Details Hematology Oncology APRN or PA: Outpatient Clinic Weissman Cancer Center, Stuart FL Martin North Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center 501 SE Osceola St Stuart , Florida 34994 Cleveland Clinic's Cancer Institute is currently seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient position with the Department of Hematology & Oncology at Weissman Cancer Center. This position involves treating adult hematology oncology patients, collaborating with staff physicians, and independently evaluating anemia consults. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to): managing patients who require symptoms management, assessment, diagnosis, orders, and bone marrow biopsies. The hours for this position are M-F 8am-5pm, with periodic weekend coverage and call after hours. APP experience is preferred, however, new graduates with experience in hematology or oncology may be considered. APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to an APRN protocol and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions within the collaboration agreement of a Physician, as per regulatory requirements. Performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PAs in the Hospital care role provide outpatient and/or hospital based care to patients (more than 50% of their time) with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Outpatient/Hospital care PAs practice in a setting that requires the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health problems. Must have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
