Responsibilities

  • Production Execution & Floor Leadership
  • Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to support technicians, unblock issues, and ensure production is tracking to plan

  • Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct safety training and ensure certifications are up to date
  • Identify, address, and prevent unsafe conditions on the shop floor
  • Investigate incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure adherence to work instructions and recommend updates to improve clarity and execution
  • Drive workmanship standards and participate in regular quality reporting and reviews
  • Champion 5S and lean manufacturing principles across the production floor
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, throughput, and reliability
  • Operational Efficiency & Output
  • Monitor labor utilization, overtime, and productivity; implement improvements where needed
  • Identify downtime drivers and execute plans to reduce inefficiencies
  • Track key performance metrics (e.g., throughput, utilization, scrap) and drive measurable improvements
  • Support capacity planning across equipment and personnel to meet production demand
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Provide regular updates on production performance, risks, and improvement initiatives
  • Escalate blockers quickly and effectively through the appropriate leadership channels
  • Maintain clear communication across shifts and cross-functional teams
  • What you'll bring to the team:
  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with prior supervisory or team lead experience
  • Proven ability to manage teams in fast-paced, high-mix, high-volume production settings
  • Experience working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams
  • Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving
  • Ability to drive accountability and performance across a technician team
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities shift
  • Understanding of production workflows, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to interpret production metrics and translate them into actionable improvements
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., tracking production metrics, labor utilization, and basic data analysis)
