Pay Range:$31.11 - $43.64 The Wellness Support Program (WSP) Associate Program Coordinator supports the WSP Program Coordinator in delivering excellence in relapse prevention and early recovery skills, as facilitated through the Wellness Support Program. This role requires a strong commitment to SEARHC's Mission, Vision, and Values, and dedication to staff development consistent with these principles. The Associate Program Coordinator collaborates and consults with the leadership and team members of the Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Department to achieve programmatic and departmental goals and objectives. A critical responsibility for this position is to oversee, mentor, and support Resident Support Specialist (RSS) staff, foster the professional growth of the WSP team, and ensure high-quality service delivery. The role also involves identifying staff and resident concerns, facilitating crisis intervention and conflict resolution, and maintaining effective communication. As the Wellness Support Program operates 24/7 year-round, the Associate Program Coordinator must be available to work during evenings and weekends. Essential Duties - Provide comprehensive support and assistance for daily operations to uphold the safety, functionality, and structure of the WSP. - Educate, guide, and assist staff and clients in comprehending and adhering to program rules and expectations. - Ensure compliance with organizational, departmental, and program policies and protocols. - Directly supervise the team of Resident Support Specialists. - Foster and sustain professional relationships with consortium and community partners. - Cultivate a collaborative team environment characterized by consistency, cooperation, and effective communication. - Plan and coordinate program activities, ensuring resource availability and adherence to established protocols. - Establish therapeutic rapport with residents and employ fundamental counseling techniques for group and individual management. - Facilitate and moderate conflict resolution processes and encourage healthy communication. - Participate in moderate physical, recreational, and community activities that promote recovery. - Assist residents in self-administering medications and ensure staff compliance with medication protocols. - Pursue ongoing professional development and engage in educational opportunities as directed by the Program Coordinator. - Maintain accurate and confidential records. - Monitor and track expenditures in accordance with budgetary guidelines. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Additional Details: Education/Experience: - Associate degree or equivalent required - Preferred: 2 years' professional experience and 1 year of leadership in behavioral health or related field - Chemical Dependency Counselor I certification (or equivalent) by the State of Alaska, a reciprocal state, or eligibility within 3 years of hire - Valid Alaska driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Flexible to work evenings and weekends. - Knowledgeable in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. - Comply with client confidentiality and health information laws. - Effective oral and written communicator. - Skilled in collaborative problem-solving and conflict management. - Experienced in crisis identification and management. - Maintains accurate documentation. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Builds positive relationships, works well with diverse groups, and maintains professional boundaries. - Proficient with computers, software, and electronic health records. - Manages multiple tasks efficiently. - Provides leadership and team management. - Demonstrates professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility.
