Assistant Electrical Engineer-Submarine (Changi)

Responsibilities

• Supervise/perform fault diagnosis, trouble shooting and maintenance of power system/component in workshops and onboard vessels
• Liaise with various departments within company and client to expedite the scope of work
• Lead a team of electricians in corrective and preventive maintenance
• Prepare work completion reports for Customer's Acceptance.
• Perform maintenance works in accordance with vessel safety requirement
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of electrical connections and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programs.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners, conduct design reviews with customers, and maintain documentation according to our ISO quality systems.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Marine related or Oil & Gas industry
• Candidate with no experience may apply
• Experienced dealing with 440V Main switchboard, Distribution Boards, Transformer, Power Generator, Main Engine, Converter, Inverter Batteries, Fire alarm & flooding system and Ship Control Monitoring & Management System
• Experience in troubleshooting on various brands of PLCs (Panasonic, Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, etc.) is advantageous
• Proficient in selection and integration of sensors, pneumatic systems, Stepper and Servo Motors & control systems, Power Supply Units, other electrical hard wares, etc.
• Possess man management experience in leading up to 6 men, including Supervisors and Technicians
• Willing to work as a team player to achieve assigned task within given timeline.
• Comfortable with report writing
• Able to work onboard vessels and at heights

• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.45am-5pm
